Paper Bag

I'm always fascinated with unusual yet humble materials. Designed by one of my favorites, Naoto Fukasawa, these pouches are made of a material called Soft Naoron, developed by Japanese paper manufacturer, Onao, by modernizing the traditional paper-making process. Soft Naoron is made of wood pulp and poly olefin, is water-resistant, yet flexible and soft to the touch.

Kaleidoscope felt necklace

The idea of slicing a nice thick sheet of felt into these little perfect little diamonds, and assembling them into these perfectly structured pieces excites the hell out of me. $28 each at Homako.

Erik Spiekermann's House

I know I've gotten over my whole über modern everything, but Erik Spiekermann's house in East Berlin has a couple warm, playful, witty elements that I love. Discovered through swissmiss.

Really really beautiful and interesting gown by Jessie Dewall of Heating & Cooling. I discovered her through this wedding gown she did for her friend Midori's wedding, featured on Once Wed. I love how the gown looks like it's made of some paper-like material, like Tyvek!
