One of my favorite magazines is GOOD. But even they misspell the name of my country, the Philippines. Is this not on spell check? During Apple's WWDC, they also spelled it wrong -- Phillipines. I think the double "L" is there because people think it's... Philip -- wait a minute! Even Philip only has 1 L! But for those who don't know, the country's name came from King Philip II of Spain in the 16th century.
yeah and some people think it's spelled Manilla. maybe because it rhymes with Vanilla.
